Week 4 & 5

Time is flying by so quickly this summer! Once again I find myself updating the last TWO weeks of Summer Care. We are having so much fun!

Week 4's theme was "Symphony of the 5 Senses." Each day was dedicated to a different one of the 5 senses. Here are some of the activities we did during the week:

"Pour Painting" was a lot of fun, but messy!

For enrichment, Ms. Heather did an experiment with the kids involving milk, food coloring, and dish soap...the results were really cool!

What beautiful salt paintings!

Pancakes and pajamas at IHOP...YUMMY!

3K & 4K making fruit loop rainbows for craft.

One day for enrichment, we did a taste test using all of the different taste buds on our tongues.

Week 5's theme was "Iron Chef C.A." The kids practiced following directions, gathering ingredients, and working as a team to complete our Iron Chef cooking contests on Tuesday and Thursday. It was a blast!

Miss Laura's Chefs

Miss. Megan & Miss Amanda's Team

Miss Bonnie & Ms. Amy's Chefs

Miss Tonie's Team

Miss Abigail & Miss Emily's Chefs

The kids each made a chef hat and apron for the competition...you can't get much cuter than this little guy!

The chellenge was to make a fruit pizza with a graham cracker crust. Here Miss Tonie is helping her team crush the graham crackers.

Miss Abigail & Miss Emily's team chose to make a patriotic pizza. Beautiful work!

Miss Amanda helping her team gather ingredients.

Miss Bonnie & Miss Amy's team named their master piece "Fruit of the Spirit"

Cort and Carson flattening out the graham cracker crust...don't worry! We washed our hands!

Grayson putting on the cream cheese mixture. Yum Yum!

Iron Chef week was so much fun! June went by so fast, but we're looking forward to all the fun things planned for July! We hop you have a wonderful 4th of July with your families!
